Siphokuhle Matiwane is a young, Black, female entrepreneur, keynote speaker, and award-winning businesswoman from the Eastern Cape. She is the founder and visionary behind Kwa Kuhle Hospitalities (Pty) Ltd, popularly known as Kwa Kuhle African Cuisine, a company in the hospitality and entertainment sector that provides catering, décor coordination, and event planning services.
Her academic background includes a Human Resource Management qualification from Nelson Mandela University and a Food & Beverage Handling qualification from the Blue Ribbon School of Hospitality. Growing up and continuing to reside in eKasi, Siphokuhle understands township challenges first-hand, from limited opportunities to underdeveloped community projects. This fuels her passion for equipping aspiring entrepreneurs with the knowledge and confidence to become strong leaders and build sustainable businesses.
Siphokuhle has hosted numerous events and workshops aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs. She was recognised by First National Bank as one of their most influential business clients and has won several awards, including the Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year at the Border Kei Chamber of Business Awards (2024). She is also a beneficiary of the Isiqalo Youth Fund from the Office of the Premier and support from the Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA).
Beyond her own ventures, she is an active member of initiatives such as Kasi Konversations, contributing to projects that empower young, Black South Africans in the Eastern Cape. Siphokuhle remains committed to community upliftment, believing that entrepreneurship is not only about generating income but also about building meaningful relationships, amplifying township voices, and creating lasting opportunities for growth.
