Yamkela Nkomo is the Managing Director of Yam Business Solutions, a business consultancy firm established in East London in 2017. She is a qualified business analyst by profession and a dedicated entrepreneur invested in the growth of SMEs in the Eastern Cape and beyond. Through Yam Business Solutions, she has led business planning and feasibility studies, most recently through a three-year NYDA tender supporting youth enterprises across four provinces.

Her leadership extends to founding #Supportalearner, an NPO established in 2016 in partnership with NYS. She is QTCO-accredited as a facilitator and moderator by ETDP SETA, and holds a business license from the FSP. Beyond her professional life, she is a business coach, wife, and mother, balancing personal commitments with a vision for inclusive business growth.

Yamkela serves on various boards and committees, including Da Comet Financial Services, the Kasi Konversations board, and the Border Kei Chamber of Business Women’s Committee. She also hosts business events such as the Annual Women in Business Talk and the Annual Business Expo, while leading entrepreneurship training initiatives.

Her contributions have been recognised through accolades such as the 2023 Emerging Entrepreneur Award. With expertise spanning business analysis, economics, accounting, marketing, and coaching, Yamkela remains committed to building opportunities and fostering growth for South African businesses.
